Jalen Jackson is a native of St. Louis and a recent graduate of North Carolina Central University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies. Specializing in percussion with a focus on mallet percussion and drum set, Jalen is also an accomplished pianist, composer, and arranger. During his time at NCCU, he had the opportunity to study under renowned jazz artists Joey Calderazzo and Branford Marsalis, experiences that helped shape his musicianship and teaching skills. Passionate about music education and artistic growth, Jalen is dedicated to inspiring students through creativity, discipline, and a love for music.
