With a lifelong passion for music and years of performance experience, Justin Garcia brings both skill and creativity to his teaching. Starting out on trumpet in elementary school and later adding electric bass, guitar, and drums in high school, Justin has performed with cover bands and original projects from his hometown of Long Island to the Triangle area. Highlights include writing and recording original music released on major streaming platforms, performing at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, and opening for artists such as Cafuné, 070 Shake, and NLE Choppa at Duke University’s 2023 LDOC.
Currently pursuing a minor in Music at Duke University, Justin has completed courses in music theory, composition, and history. His background allows him to connect with students through a variety of instruments and genres, making lessons engaging, flexible, and fun.
Justin teaches guitar, bass, ukulele, piano, drums, and trumpet.
