Josh has a love for music that began early on in life, apparently, he was even singing in the crib! He began singing in his church choir at just 4 years of age and continued for the next 14 years. During this formative time, he received all medals from the Royal School of Church Music, including Head Chorister. He holds a B.A. in Music from UNC-Chapel Hill, where he studied bass, piano, and voice, and holds an M.ED. from Temple University. Since graduating, he has performed across the country in rock, jazz, country, folk, and bluegrass bands, and taught lessons regularly for the past 15 years. You can find him performing around the triangle with The Petty Thieves, a local and lively Tom Petty tribute act. He believes music is a key ingredient to a happy, healthy life, and looks forward to helping your child begin their musical journey on guitar, ukulele, violin, or piano!
