Jacqueline is one of our voice and beginner/intermediate piano instructors. Taught by her mom, a professional vocal coach, Jacqueline learned how to sing and harmonize to gospel hymns with her two siblings at the age of two years old. She realized her love for performance and songwriting at fourteen years old, and shortly after, started a hip hop/r&b/pop group with her brother and sister. The band gigged all over California, Nevada, and Arizona. After high school, Jacqueline studied Jazz Voice at San Francisco State University where she received her B.A. in music. She was also the music director at her church in San Francisco, teaching vocal harmony to youth and young adults for eleven years, and taught piano privately to children ages five and up for eight years before moving to North Carolina with her husband. Being a part of helping kids of all ages discover their musical language is something Jacqueline finds immense joy in.
